Let me share a little bit more about my journey!
After years of planning, writing, drawing and creating, I finally published
my first children's book titled Gema, the Curious Butterfly.
It has been very rewarding to see the project come to life!
Gema, the Curious Butterfly" is a story about friendship, freedom and love. Her grandmother gifted her a book that will guide her through a journey of self awareness, transformation and spiritual growth. More than anything, Gema wants to learn the true meaning of love. To be able to achieve her dream, she needs to polish her heart and make it shine like a diamond.
The book includes FUN artistic activities for you and your kids! You can create Gema's mask and sing along Gema's song while instilling important values in your children's life.
I'm also very excited because this month I produced and released Gema's song, which it's available for purchase here!
Together with recording engineer and bass player Mark Reardon, steeldrummer Peter (Zack) Bernard, drummer Timothy Gordon, and mastering engineer David Ruttenberg we created this happy rhythmic caribbean version for you to dance and sing along with your kids! (The lyrics and sheet music are included in the book)

During the performance, I sing Gema's song, read the book and decorate Gema's masquerade mask with the kids. The goal of the project is to interact with them and talk about the lessons learned from the book, the song and the artistic activity. The book is also about self-awareness, transformation and spiritual growth.
This year the project has been supported by the Broward County Cultural Division and the Neighbors Volunteer Office of the City of Fort Lauderdale. I have performed it at the YMCA L.A. Lee Family Center in Broward, Endeavour Primary Learning Center, Broward County Library, YAA House in Sistrunk, and at Starbucks of 17th Street.
